Armenia, Netherlands explore deeper strategic cooperation

During his visit to the Netherlands, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with Dutch Foreign Minister David van Weel. The meeting began with a private conversation, followed by extended talks involving both delegations.

The two ministers discussed efforts to deepen the strategic partnership between Armenia and the Netherlands, including the implementation of the joint declaration signed between the two countries in March.

They also addressed cooperation in the economic field, highlighting the potential to intensify business ties while maintaining a high level of political dialogue.

Minister Mirzoyan expressed gratitude to the Netherlands for its support to Armenia, particularly in expanding trade capacities and facilitating access to European markets. He also appreciated the additional financial assistance provided under the Global Concessional Financing Facility.

Mirzoyan emphasized Armenia's strong interest in enhancing cooperation with the Netherlands within the broader framework of Armenia-EU relations. In this context, the sides discussed deepening their partnership by effectively using EU instruments and strengthening Armenia’s resilience.

The ministers also exchanged views on international and regional developments. Mirzoyan thanked the Netherlands for its position on the key agreements reached between Armenia and Azerbaijan on August 8 and shared further details about the developments.
