On a working trip to Tbilisi, Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan met with his counterpart, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze, stressing that Yerevan places great importance on developing relations with the Georgian capital.
During the meeting, the sides discussed areas that could serve as a foundation for mutually beneficial and effective cooperation aimed at advancing both cities and improving residents’ quality of life.
Avinyan noted that the centuries-old friendship and neighborhood between the two peoples have evolved into effective cooperation between the two capitals, according to a statement from the Yerevan Municipality.
As part of the visit, the Yerevan Youth Orchestra will perform at the Rustaveli State Drama Theatre in Tbilisi in celebration of Armenia’s Independence Day.
