АNC rep calls PM “a serial liar,” demands release of Minsk docs

Vice Chairman of the Armenian National Congress (ANC), Levon Zurabyan, responded to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s recent posts directed at Armenia’s three former presidents and his challenge to a public debate.

Zurabyan labeled Pashinyan a “serial liar.”

“Nation-destroying disaster-conman, you were explicitly told: publish the OSCE Minsk Group peace proposals from April and June 2019, which you hid from the people and consciously refused to negotiate over. Instead, you dragged the country into a devastating war, because, as you revealed in your August 23 message this year, you needed to adopt a strategy that would lead to ‘peace with Azerbaijan and dialogue with Turkey.’”

Zurabyan continued: “So it turns out that from the beginning, you deliberately planned the downfall of Artsakh and Armenia’s defeat for the sake of this so-called ‘higher purpose.’”

“Make the documents public, so that a real debate can take place. By not publishing them, even after you yourself disbanded the Minsk Group and there are no longer any confidentiality restrictions, you’re clearly the one avoiding the debate. And rightly so, because under the light of truth, you stand no chance.”

“You are a serial liar: you lied before the war, you lied about the war, and you continue to lie about the so-called ‘peace’ you claim to have achieved.”

“There is no trust in your word. Publish the 2019 documents and there will be no need for debate, because once they're released, your desire to argue will vanish forever,” Zurabyan concluded.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had earlier made several Facebook posts responding to criticism from former presidents, reiterating his call for a public debate. “So tell me now, are you coming to debate or not?” he wrote.
