The delegation led by chairman of the National Assembly of Armenia Alen Simonyan, currently on a working visit to the Kingdom of Spain, met with the leadership of the FESEI Foundation (Fundación de Estudios Estratégicos e Internacionales), a think tank for strategic and international studies.
The meeting was also attended by a group of students affiliated with the foundation, who had the opportunity to ask questions to the Armenian Parliament Speaker.
Key topics included the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan established in Washington, Armenia-EU relations, and broader regional developments.
*On August 8, a trilateral meeting was held at the White House between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, U.S. President Donald Trump, and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, resulting in a Joint Declaration summarizing the meeting's outcomes.
In Washington, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, in the presence of the leaders of Armenia, Azerbaijan, and the U.S., preliminarily signed the “Agreement on the Establishment of Peace and Interstate Relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan.”*
