Masis Mayor Davit Hambardzumyan has declared that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan “must be removed” from his position and has urged citizens to join the rally scheduled for September 26 near the National Assembly.
“Dear compatriots, we are living in a time when every new development in our country reaffirms a truth long accepted by conscious, patriotic citizens: Nikol Pashinyan must be removed from the position of Armenia’s leader,” Hambardzumyan wrote on his Facebook page.
According to him, this is not just a political agenda but a vital necessity, the delay of which could lead to irreversible consequences.
“As a result of Nikol and his team’s actions, Armenia has already suffered numerous losses. Any further concession could prove fatal for our country. Therefore, dear compatriots, the time to act is now.
I am sure you are aware that on September 26, parliamentary hearings will be held to express no confidence in Nikol. I will be outside the parliament building on that day. Let us come together to support this critically important initiative. Let’s unite our minds and shoulders and lay the foundation for Armenia’s future victories together.
See you on September 26 at 12:00 p.m., in front of the National Assembly. Not a day later,” the post reads.
Parliamentary hearings are set for 12:00 p.m. on September 26, initiated by the I Have Honor faction, according to the National Assembly's official website. The hearings will address the faction’s draft statement on the National Crisis and Governance Failure. The We Are Awake movement will hold a public rally on Baghramyan Avenue during the hearings.
