Artsrun Galstyan, who was injured in the September 23 shooting in Merdzavan village, Armavir Province, has regained consciousness. The information was confirmed by the Investigative Committee of Armenia, as reported by 1Lurer.am .
“He has regained consciousness and was questioned by the investigator. A forensic medical examination has been ordered,” the committee said.
On the night of September 23, at 11:52 p.m., Armenia’s Interior Ministry received a report of gunfire in Merdzavan. The incident resulted in the deaths of Parakar community head Volodya Grigoryan and Criminal Police officer Karen Abrahamyan.
Authorities had previously confirmed that Artsrun Galstyan was the person wounded in the shooting.
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan condemned the incident in strong terms, emphasizing, “Armenia’s law enforcement agencies are obliged to urgently identify all individuals involved in this crime.”
