Armenian, Kazakh FMs meet in New York

During his visit to New York, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu.

“We attach special importance to cooperation with Kazakhstan not only bilaterally but also within the broader context of regional connectivity. In this regard, the development of transport and business ties is one of our priorities,” Mirzoyan emphasized.

Within this framework, the ministers exchanged views on the implementation of the Crossroads of Peace project, including possible opportunities through the TRIPP program.

Both sides expressed satisfaction with the continued development of strategic relations between Armenia and Kazakhstan, highlighting active dialogue across various levels and expanding sectoral cooperation.

Mirzoyan and Nurtleu also discussed the agenda of upcoming high-level visits and prospects for cooperation within multilateral platforms.

The Armenian government’s Crossroads of Peace project focuses on developing communications between Armenia, Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Iran through the repair, construction, and operation of roads, railways, pipelines, cables, and power lines. All infrastructure—roads, railways, air routes, pipelines, cables, and power lines—would operate under the sovereignty and jurisdiction of the countries they cross.
