According to the Statistical Committee, Armenia’s total foreign trade turnover in January–August 2025 dropped by 41.1% compared to the same period in 2024, amounting to $12.94 billion.
In August alone, turnover fell 13.8% from July and 33.7% year-on-year, totaling $1.52 billion, Armenpress reported.
Exports decreased by 48.8% year-on-year in the first eight months, totaling $5.9 billion. In August, exports were down 16.5% compared to July and 40.8% compared to August 2024, amounting to $586.3 million.
Imports dropped 34.9% year-on-year in January–August, reaching $7.94 billion. In August, imports fell 12.1% compared to July and 28.3% year-on-year, totaling $933.1 million.
The average exchange rate of the Armenian dram against the U.S. dollar was 389.39 drams in January–August 2025, and 383.19 drams in August.
