Armenia-China ties reach strategic level, Pashinyan says

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan sent congratulatory messages to Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang on the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

In his message to President Xi, Pashinyan stated: “Please accept my warmest congratulations on the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

China’s path of strengthening statehood, economic development, modernization, and global positioning is truly impressive.

Recent successes in various spheres of Armenia–China cooperation are the result of mutual commitment and continued joint efforts, which have elevated our bilateral relations to a qualitatively new level of strategic partnership.

I recall with gratitude the warm welcome extended to me in China a month ago and our fruitful discussions on bilateral relations and regional developments. Undoubtedly, the visit’s results and high-level agreements mark a historic new chapter in Armenia–China interstate relations.

I am confident that, through joint active efforts, we will further deepen our upward-trending ties—built on mutual trust and respect—by enriching the strategic partnership framework with ambitious goals and directions.”

In his message to Premier Li Qiang, Pashinyan emphasized: “I note with satisfaction that the centuries-old friendship between Armenia and China—rooted in mutual respect, trust, and historical ties—has entered a qualitatively new level through the established strategic partnership.

This enables us to outline future cooperation across all areas of mutual interest.

I am confident that our bilateral relations will continue to expand and register new achievements.

I wish you robust health and success, and prosperity and progress to the friendly people of China.”
