The National Assembly will convene an extraordinary session with the agenda including a draft declaration authored by the Civil Contract faction and titled “On the establishment of peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan.”
“Based on the initiative of deputies to convene an extraordinary session of the National Assembly and decision No. AJXO-047-L of the NA Council dated October 2, 2025, and guided by Article 100 of the Constitution and Article 41 of the Constitutional Law ‘Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly,’ the Speaker decided that immediately after the conclusion of the regular sitting of September 30, an extraordinary session will be convened at the initiative of deputies.
The agenda includes the Civil Contract faction’s draft declaration on the establishment of peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan,” the statement of the parliament said.
*On August 8, at the White House, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, U.S. President Donald Trump, and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a joint declaration reflecting the results of their trilateral meeting in Washington.
During the same event, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, in the presence of the three leaders, initialed the agreement “On the establishment of peace and interstate relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan.”*
