Macron pledges continued support for Armenian sovereignty

At a meeting held in Copenhagen, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and French President Emmanuel Macron reaffirmed the privileged and high-level relationship between Armenia and France, highlighting the importance of implementing new joint initiatives.

The two leaders also discussed regional developments, the outcomes of the Washington peace summit, and the implementation of the TRIPP project.

President Macron reiterated France’s unwavering support for Armenia’s independence, sovereignty, and democratic reform agenda. Prime Minister Pashinyan expressed gratitude for France’s comprehensive assistance during this critical period.

The sides agreed to maintain close engagement through both bilateral and multilateral platforms.

Pashinyan also shared a video from the meeting on his Facebook page, writing: “A warm meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron.”

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 7th European Political Community summit in Copenhagen, where Prime Minister Pashinyan also held several other bilateral meetings with international partners.
