Armenia, Germany committed to stronger bilateral ties

Armenia deeply values Germany’s contribution to peace and stability in the South Caucasus, Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan said during an event marking German Unity Day.

Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan delivered a congratulatory message at a ceremony dedicated to German Unity Day, wishing peace and prosperity to the German people.

Grigoryan highlighted the steady progress in Armenian-German cooperation across sectors of mutual interest in recent years. He stressed that Armenia highly appreciates Germany’s support in strengthening peace and stability in the South Caucasus.

He expressed hope that joint efforts will continue to broaden comprehensive cooperation between Armenia and Germany, aimed at deepening friendship and prosperity between the two nations. “Armenia and Germany are united not only by strong intergovernmental ties but also by a shared commitment to fundamental freedoms and the rule of law. Relations between our countries are built on trust and mutual respect,” the Deputy PM said.

Grigoryan also welcomed Germany’s consistent support for democratic development and sustainable growth in Armenia, as well as the deepening of Armenia-EU relations. In this context, he emphasized the importance of projects implemented with support from the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) and the KfW Development Bank, which contribute to advancing Armenia’s priority sectors.
