Armenia’s Investigative Committee has initiated a criminal case over the death of Boris Avagyan, the former representative for special assignments of the President of the Republic of Artsakh, Factor.am reports.
According to the Committee’s spokesperson Kima Avdalyan, the case was opened under Part 3 of Article 162 of the Criminal Code — “driving a person to suicide or attempted suicide through threats, cruel treatment, or degrading behavior.”
On September 24, Boris Avagyan was found dead in the restroom of Armenia’s Consulate General in St. Petersburg. He had been accused of evading customs duties.
