On September 29, Armenian Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan visited the Operational Control Center of the UAE Ministry of Interior, observing its service operations.
The center’s leadership presented its structure and functions, noting that operations are guided by the ministry’s 2023–2026 strategic programs.
Sargsyan spoke about Armenia’s own initiatives, including the development of a unified call center for the Police, Rescue Service, and Ambulance. The two sides discussed call handling mechanisms, information flow, and management procedures.
They emphasized the practical use of information technologies and artificial intelligence in preventing crime, managing disaster risks, issuing public alerts, and improving preparedness levels.
The Armenian delegation was also briefed on staff training for emergency situations and the center’s technical infrastructure.
Both sides agreed to continue cooperation and organize reciprocal visits to facilitate experience sharing.
That same day, the Armenian delegation also met with representatives from the UAE Ministry of Interior’s Vehicle and Driver Licensing Department. Discussions focused on licensing procedures, the role of the private sector, regulatory requirements, and service quality for citizens.
