Engineering Week kicks off with call for innovation exports

On October 3, Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan participated in the official launch of Armenia Engineering Week 2025, held in the Engineering City.

Welcoming attendees at the newly built High-Tech Accelerator building, the minister emphasized that Armenia must now create and export its own engineering products for both domestic and international markets.

“It’s time for us to think about having our own Samsung and selling it to the world, and right here in Engineering City, science and innovation will become the foundation for new Armenian products,” the minister stated.

This year’s events have attracted representatives from numerous countries, including members of government institutions, academia, the private sector, and engineering communities, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration.

Throughout the week, engineers will showcase their latest innovations across various fields, including artificial intelligence, automotive engineering, space technology, the semiconductor industry, cybersecurity, high-performance computing, biomedical engineering, and smart manufacturing systems.

The first two days of the event will include an exhibition section, where Armenian companies are presenting their technological products and solutions, reflecting a vision for the industry’s future growth.

Armenia Engineering Week will conclude on October 5 at the Vanadzor Technology Center, where workshops and thematic discussions will focus on the role of youth in driving scientific and technological progress.

The event is organized by the Enterprise Incubator Foundation and the Engineering Association, with support from the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia and several public, private, and international partner organizations.

Armenia Engineering Week is considered the country’s flagship annual event in the field of engineering. Now in its ninth year, it serves as a key platform to publicize Armenia’s technological potential, achievements, and strategic vision, while supporting the country's emergence as a regional center for innovation and advanced technologies.
