Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Minister Davit Khudatyan responded on Facebook to a comment made during a press conference by Armenia’s second President, Robert Kocharyan, stressing that it clearly reflects the former leader’s view of the Armenian public.
“If you think I enjoyed having 8–10 meetings in 2021, traveling across the Republic of Armenia, of course not.”
This is a direct quote from Robert Kocharyan’s press conference today, who served as Armenia’s president for 10 years.
“There is no better way to describe Robert Kocharyan’s relationship with the citizens of the Republic of Armenia. It’s simply not possible,” Khudatyan wrote.
Khudatyan, along with Taron Chakhoyan, Deputy Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister, both highlighted this specific part of Kocharyan’s statement.
Chakhoyan wrote: “Kocharyan hates the Armenian people, hates Armenia. He says it wasn’t pleasant to engage with people, to travel across the country.”
