FIFA fines Armenian Football Federation

FIFA has fined the Football Federation of Armenia (FFA) 13,000 Swiss francs ($16,250) for violations during September's 2026 World Cup qualifier matches, according to Armsport.

The decision was published on October 7 on FIFA’s official website, as part of a broader release from FIFA's Disciplinary Committee regarding infractions during the qualification stage.

During the match against Portugal, the recorded violations included: team misconduct, breaches of order and security regulations during the game, pitch invasion or attempted invasion, and use of fireworks or other objects.

In the match against Ireland, there were also breaches of order and security regulations, along with the use of fireworks or other items.

Some of these decisions remain subject to appeal.
