According to the Statistical Committee of Armenia, passenger transport recorded the sharpest price increase among services in August 2025 compared to the same month last year.
Transport fares rose by 27.6% over the past year, with the highest increases observed in Yerevan, Kotayk, and Aragatsotn regions, Sputnik Armenia reports.
The data also show that recreation service costs grew by 14.3%, hair salon services by 11.5%, and restaurant and café prices by a more modest 2.4%.
Additionally, education services saw a 7.8% increase, while medical services rose by 3.2%.
The figures suggest that public transportation and leisure services have carried the bulk of inflation in Armenia’s service sector.
