Former tax chief calls for unity, denounces division and hate

David Ananyan, former chairman of Armenia’s State Revenue Committee and now a member of Arman Tatoyan’s Wings of Unity initiative, wrote in a Facebook post that their movement is “not fighting for power but for the future of the nation and the state.”

He emphasized that they launched their effort with a message of unity, believing that the people can only shape their future through solidarity.

“You continue walking dividing lines, fragmenting public power,” he wrote. “We began by dismantling barricades to eliminate hostility and open the way to healthy, competitive dialogue. You continue throwing stones from corners, sowing hatred and animosity.”

Ananyan added that their initiative aims to build the future with clear plans that inspire progress and trust, while critics spread fear and doubt, stifling initiative and faith.

He stressed their vision centers on public healing and inner peace, stating, “Only a peaceful and confident society is creative. But you keep poisoning the public atmosphere with slander and insults.”

“But we will not stray. We will continue preaching unity, pursuing inner peace, and dismantling the barricades,” Ananyan stated. “Because we have a vision: to make the Homeland a strong and thriving state. Because we have the strength and resolve to go all the way. Because we have the will to fear no trial. And above all, we have genuine love for our Homeland and our people.”

“Our path is difficult but irreversible because we are not fighting for power, we are fighting for the future of the Nation and the State,” the post concluded.
