“Мatryoshka” bots target Pashinyan with 60+ videos

CyberHUB-AM co-founder Arthur Papyan reported on his Facebook page that instances of disinformation have already been recorded ahead of Armenia’s upcoming June 2026 parliamentary elections.

Papyan noted that in recent months, bots from the “Matryoshka” disinformation network have published over 60 videos targeting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

“Cyber and disinformation attacks have already begun in the lead-up to Armenia’s June elections. One such campaign was detected and exposed by the ‘bot bloker’ account on X,” he wrote.

According to Papyan, bots identified by the Agentstvo platform as part of the Russian ‘Matryoshka’ propaganda network have been circulating anti-government materials targeting Pashinyan’s administration.

“The same Agentstvo platform reports that in the last four months alone, the Matryoshka network’s bots have released around 60 videos aimed at discrediting Pashinyan,” Papyan added.

Parliamentary elections are scheduled to be held in Armenia in June 2026.
