Homeland party names team, goals for Vagharshapat elections

The Executive Board of the Homeland Party has held a session to discuss its participation in the upcoming local self-government elections in the Vagharshapat community.

During the session, the party officially approved its candidate list, with Khachik Manukyan, a citizen of Vagharshapat, topping the list.

The composition of the team was also reviewed. Party Chairman Artur Vanetsyan presented Homeland's values and political approach, outlining key programs and priorities for the Vagharshapat community.

“Khachik Manukyan, the party’s mayoral candidate, was born in Etchmiadzin. His entire life and career have been tied to this city. Over the years, he has earned the respect and affection of local residents,” the statement reads. “A man of letters, he expresses concern over the country’s current socio-political state, emphasizing that ‘today’s authorities aim to keep the Armenian people in a fog of lies, devaluing national values and the core pillars of Armenian identity.’”

The second spot on the party’s council list is held by Aram Kocharyan, who emphasizes the importance of stable development in Vagharshapat and ensuring quality of life befitting its status as the spiritual center of the Armenian nation.

Local elections in Vagharshapat are scheduled for November 16. Eligible voters in the Armavir region’s Vagharshapat community can verify their registration on the Ministry of Internal Affairs website under the "Elections" section, or consult the voter registry and lists on the Central Electoral Commission’s official page.
