On October 14, Elina Valtonen, Chairperson-in-Office of the OSCE and Foreign Minister of Finland, will arrive in Armenia for a working visit, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
A meeting with Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan will take place at the MFA, followed by a joint press conference.
This marks Valtonen’s first visit to the region as OSCE Chairperson-in-Office. She will also visit Azerbaijan and Georgia.
“In Armenia and Azerbaijan, our discussions will focus on normalizing relations between the two countries. Important steps have been taken in that direction this year. Finland supports both nations’ efforts to achieve lasting peace,” Valtonen previously said.
