Suren Surenyants, leader of the Democratic Alternative party, announced that his political force will participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections in a joint team with Gagik Tsarukyan’s bloc, RFE/RL reports.
Surenyants, who earlier joined Tsarukyan’s Proposal to Armenia initiative, said the structure of their collaboration is still under discussion.
“We will run as one united team in the next parliamentary elections. Different structural approaches are being discussed, but it’s already clear that our political forces will consolidate and form a single team for the vote,” he stated.
He noted that this is not the first time their parties have cooperated. In the 2021–26 local elections, the Democratic Alternative and Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) formed institutional alliances and ran jointly in several communities.
Parliamentary elections in Armenia are scheduled for June 2026.
