Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, speaking at a joint press conference with OSCE Chair and Finland’s Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen, shared updates on the implementation process of the TRIPP project, highlighting the importance of cooperation with the United States and noting that certain details are still being finalized.
“The section of railway running through southern Armenia will be named TRIPP and has its defined title and principles. These principles include territorial integrity, inviolability of borders, sovereignty, national jurisdiction over the infrastructure, and, of course, reciprocity. Once we have a full and final understanding, we will make it public. The details must still be clarified between Armenia and the U.S.,” Mirzoyan said, as reported by Armenpress.
He emphasized that only those aspects of the TRIPP project that have been officially published are agreed upon at this stage.
On August 8, 2025, in Washington, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, and U.S. President Donald Trump signed a declaration. One of its provisions states that Armenia will cooperate with the United States and mutually agreed third parties to define the scope of the “Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity” project on Armenian territory.
