Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan and Marcel de Wink, Director-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, praised the ongoing political dialogue between Armenia and the Netherlands and the high level of bilateral cooperation outlined in the Strategic Partnership Declaration.
They also addressed the organization of the European Political Community (EPC) summit, scheduled to take place in Armenia in 2026.
Kostanyan expressed appreciation for the Netherlands’ support in expanding Armenia’s trade capacity and access to European markets, as well as for additional funding provided to Armenia through the World Bank’s Global Concessional Financing Facility.
He emphasized that Armenia values its partnership with the Netherlands within the broader Armenia-EU framework. Kostanyan briefed his counterpart on the Armenian government’s steps toward deepening EU ties following the adoption of the law on initiating Armenia’s EU accession process.
On September 18, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met Foreign Minister David van Weel in the Netherlands. They discussed advancing strategic cooperation, particularly through the implementation of the joint declaration signed in March.
