Lawyer Hovhannes Khudoyan has announced on Facebook that he received a notice from the Armenian Chamber of Advocates regarding a disciplinary complaint filed against him.
“I received a notice two days ago from the Chamber of Advocates of Armenia stating that a report has been submitted to initiate disciplinary proceedings against me. Due to my current workload, I have not yet responded to the complaint,” Khudoyan wrote, adding: “Until I present my position, I leave the conclusions to you.”
In a related context, Yerevan’s Court of General Jurisdiction recently ordered the two-month detention of lawyer Aleksandr Kochubayev, as announced by fellow lawyer Roman Yeritsyan. Kochubayev was reportedly detained for criticizing the conduct of investigators, prosecutors, and judges, which he called unjust.
