EU, Armenia explore expanded monitoring partnership

On October 21, Armenia’s Secretary of the Security Council, Armen Grigoryan, met with Markus Ritter, head of the European Union’s Civilian Monitoring Mission in Armenia. The two discussed the current state of bilateral cooperation and explored future opportunities and prospects for collaboration.

Grigoryan highly praised the mission’s work, emphasizing its importance in enhancing Armenia’s security and stability.

Markus Ritter, in turn, expressed his gratitude to the Armenian side for its warm welcome and constructive partnership with the mission.

The EU Mission in Armenia (EUMA) has been extended for another two years, until February 19, 2027. The allocated budget for the period from February 20, 2025, to February 19, 2027, exceeds 44 million euros.
