Albert Armenakyan has been chosen to represent Armenia at the 2025 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, scheduled to take place on December 13 in Tbilisi. The announcement was made by Armenia’s Public Television.
Albert, 12, emerged as the winner of a competitive selection process that drew over 80 applicants. A panel of experts comprising both local and international members evaluated the submissions, with Albert ultimately selected as the standout performer, according to Armenpress.
The jury included David Tserunyan, head of Armenia’s Eurovision delegation; Anna Tadevosyan, creative producer at Public TV; singer Aram MP3; vocalist Zhako; director Artur Manukyan; composer Lilit Navasardyan; and composer/music producer Nick Egibyan. Input from an international focus group was also considered during the selection process.
Albert began his musical journey at the age of six. A devoted Eurovision fan since 2018, he has actively followed the contest and participated in national selections for the past three years, pursuing his dream of representing Armenia on the Junior Eurovision stage.
“I’m incredibly happy to represent Armenia at Junior Eurovision. Dreams really do come true when you believe in them deeply. Singing on the big stage and presenting our country to the world has always been my biggest dream. It’s a great honor and also a big responsibility, and I’m ready for it. I promise to do my best to represent our country in the best way possible,” Albert said.
Albert attends Yerevan’s School No. 78 named after Hayrapet Hayrapetyan. He also studies piano at the Spendiaryan Specialized Music School and vocal performance at Zarouhi Babayan’s music studio. He has already participated in several prestigious music competitions both in Armenia and abroad. In 2025, Albert also competed in the French edition of “The Voice Kids,” where he joined the team of French-Armenian singer Patrick Fiori and reached the finals.
Commenting on this year’s selection, David Tserunyan noted: “Armenia is one of the most successful and anticipated countries at Junior Eurovision. Every year, fans eagerly await what Armenia will present next. I must admit, the jury faced a tough task in choosing the best among over 80 talented children, but I’m very glad that both the Armenian and international experts chose Albert. This year, Armenia will approach the contest with a fresh concept, a new message, and a big dream.”
Albert Armenakyan’s competition song and music video will be released soon.
