Armenia national team midfielder Tigran Barseghyan has been handed a three-match suspension, the Football Federation of Armenia announced, according to Armenpress.
The disciplinary action stems from a red card he received during the away World Cup qualifier against Ireland. Barseghyan was sent off in the 52nd minute for headbutting an opponent during an on-pitch altercation.
As a result, Barseghyan will miss Armenia’s final two World Cup qualifiers against Hungary and Portugal, as well as one additional official match.
