During the Paris Peace Forum, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with Moldovan President Maia Sandu. Pashinyan congratulated Sandu on her recent victory in the presidential elections, wishing her continued success in advancing democracy in Moldova.
In return, Sandu congratulated Prime Minister Pashinyan on the August 8 agreements reached in Washington and commended Armenia’s consistent efforts toward regional stability.
The two leaders discussed the potential for expanding bilateral relations between Armenia and Moldova, ongoing democratic reforms, and issues related to regional security.
Both sides reaffirmed the importance of mutual support on international platforms and expressed readiness to strengthen bilateral cooperation. Prime Minister Pashinyan and President Sandu agreed on the importance of maintaining continuous and constructive dialogue.
Earlier, Moldovan President Maia Sandu stated that Russia is shifting its foreign policy direction to increase influence in countries with upcoming elections. She emphasized that within this process, the Kremlin may attempt to assert control over Armenia’s internal political developments.
