NSC chief discusses regional security with global experts

Armen Grigoryan, Secretary of Armenia’s National Security Council, met with representatives from leading international media outlets and expert researchers from various think tanks to present the current security environment in Armenia.

He specifically discussed the agreements reached between Armenia and Azerbaijan on August 8 in Washington, emphasizing their importance for the peace process.

Grigoryan also addressed the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) communication initiative, describing it as significant in terms of fostering regional peace and stability.

During the second part of the meeting, the Security Council Secretary answered questions from the attendees, leading an in-depth and substantive discussion.

On August 8, a trilateral summit took place at the White House between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, U.S. President Donald Trump, and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. A joint declaration summarizing the outcomes of the talks was signed. During the meeting, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, in the presence of the three countries’ leaders, preliminarily signed an agreement titled “On the Establishment of Peace and Interstate Relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan.”
