Tavush governor: Armenian villages include Azerbaijani territories

During a conversation with journalists in parliament, Tavush Governor Hayk Ghalumyan confirmed that Armenian Armed Forces are in control of territories belonging to Azerbaijan and that there is no secrecy about it.

According to him, such territories exist near Voskepar and Berkaber, Sputnik Armenia reports.

“It’s perfectly clear, and you know well that in the Voskepar and Berkaber areas we have such territories,” Ghalumyan stated.

Officials have repeatedly said that “Armenia controls lands internationally recognized as Azerbaijani.”

In August, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated:

“The new logic is that when we say there are sovereign Armenian territories currently under Azerbaijani control, we must also say that there are sovereign Azerbaijani territories under Armenian control. This mutual issue should be resolved through the border delimitation process.”
