4.1-magnitude quake hits Bavra border area

On November 2 at 7:49 p.m. local time (3:49 p.m. GMT), a magnitude 4.1 earthquake was recorded in the Armenia–Georgia border area, 8 kilometers southeast of the village of Bavra, according to Armenia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Rescue Service.

The seismic event occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers. In the epicenter zone, the underground tremors reached an intensity of 5 to 6 on the MSK scale.

The quake was felt in the Shirak and Lori regions, with an intensity of 4 to 5.

The tremors were recorded at a latitude of 41.08⁰N and a longitude of 43.89⁰E.
