Vardan Ghukasyan, honorary president of the Democracy, Law, Discipline (DOK) Party, has announced that the party will participate in the elections as part of an alliance, according to a statement released by the party.
He also declared that he is transferring all his powers to attorney Levon Baghdasaryan.
“From this moment, I declare that I am transferring all, absolutely all of my powers to attorney Levon Baghdasaryan, granting him exclusive rights to represent both me and our party’s interests on all platforms without exception. For the attention of the DOK leadership, members, supporters, and voters, I express my full confidence in Mr. Levon Baghdasaryan, who will also serve as head of the pre-election headquarters,” the statement reads.
He recalled his recent initiative urging “all responsible political forces to unite around the interests of the state and people.”
“Days ago, I issued an appeal for all sound political forces to unite in the name of the state and the people. I am giving these forces until December 1, 2025, a diplomatic timeframe to orient themselves and join our pan-Armenian movement.
After December 1, I will present to the public the DOK party’s unified list of 131 parliamentary candidates, the Government lineup, and the presidential candidate.
It has been decided that the Democracy, Law, Discipline Party will participate in the elections as part of an alliance,” he added.
Parliamentary elections in Armenia are scheduled for June 2026.
