Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry of Armenia Gevorg Mantashyan and Chairman of the Military-Industrial Committee Aram Jivanyan met with a delegation from India’s Ministry of Defence, led by Amit Satija, Joint Secretary of Defence Production (Promoting Defense Manufacturing).

The two sides discussed opportunities for cooperation in the defense industry, emphasizing areas of mutual strategic interest.

They also explored ways to strengthen practical ties between Armenian and Indian defense firms and promote bilateral business exchanges.

At the end of the meeting, both sides stressed the importance of developing joint research initiatives and expanding production capabilities.

According to Indian media, India has begun supplying Armenia with Pinaka rocket systems and AKASH air defense missile systems. Armenia’s Ministry of Defence has not commented on the reported arms purchases, urging reliance only on its official statements and those of authorized officials regarding international cooperation. Earlier, India’s The Economic Times reported that Armenia had signed a $240 million arms export contract to procure missiles, rockets, and ammunition. It was later announced that Armenia would appoint a defense attaché in India.
