Ruben Rubinyan, Armenia’s special representative for normalization with Turkey and Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, met with U.S. Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Allison Hooker, who is currently visiting Armenia.
In a Facebook post, Rubinyan wrote: “We discussed regional developments and the Armenia-Turkey normalization process.”
Hooker is in Yerevan to advance the U.S. president’s vision for regional peace and security. Her visit includes meetings with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, and Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan.
The U.S. Embassy noted that talks would also focus on strengthening the U.S.-Armenia strategic partnership within the framework of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity initiative and related bilateral memorandums.
