On November 17, Secretary of Armenia’s Security Council Armen Grigoryan met with the U.S. Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Allison Hooker. They exchanged views on the evolving peace landscape in the South Caucasus, describing it as a historic achievement.
Both sides emphasized that strengthening economic ties and establishing direct flights between Armenia and the United States are key components of expanding bilateral relations.
Grigoryan highlighted the need to institutionalize the peace process and underscored the importance of efforts to unblock regional transport routes. The discussion also touched on the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity communication initiative and related planned actions.
Grigoryan and Hooker also reaffirmed the importance of the three memoranda of understanding signed on August 8 to deepen U.S.–Armenia relations, and noted the potential for future cooperation.
Earlier, the U.S. Embassy had announced that Allison Hooker had arrived in Yerevan to advance the U.S. President’s vision for regional peace and security.
“Further steps to strengthen the Armenian-American strategic partnership will be discussed within the framework of the Trump Route and bilateral memoranda,” the embassy stated.
