The Armenian government has approved the allocation of funds to organize a Yerevan-Baku-Yerevan charter flight, enabling five Armenian experts to participate in a roundtable discussion in Baku on November 21–22, reports Factor.am . The issue was included on the Cabinet’s agenda as a non-reportable item.
Around AMD 17.5 million (approximately $44,000) will be spent to ensure Armenia’s participation in the dialogue platform. According to the project’s justification, the event aims to enhance interactions between Armenian and Azerbaijani civil society representatives and to establish mechanisms for building trust between the two societies.
Previously, on October 21, a delegation of Azerbaijani experts flew directly to Yerevan to attend a bilateral meeting. Among them was Dilara Efendiyeva, who in December 2022 took part in the blockade of the Lachin Corridor by so-called Azerbaijani “eco-activists.” Additionally, two Azerbaijani specialists attended the Orbeli-2025 international conference held in Yerevan on November 4.
Farhad Mammadov, head of the Baku-based Center for South Caucasus Studies, stated that additional visits by Azerbaijani delegations to Armenia are expected in the next six months.
