Spartak Ghukasyan, the son of Gyumri’s mayor Vardan Ghukasyan, who is currently in custody, has been arrested. This was confirmed by the Investigative Committee of Armenia in response to media reports, according to Armenpress.
"During the preliminary investigation of a criminal case launched by the Investigative Committee, public criminal prosecution was initiated against one person under Article 297, Part 2, Clauses 1 and 3 of the Criminal Code (hooliganism committed by a group of persons using information or communication technologies). The individual has been arrested," stated Kima Avdalyan, spokesperson for the Chairman of the Investigative Committee.
