As part of the 30th session of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP30) held in Brazil, Armenia has signed several significant documents that will pave the way for future climate cooperation. This was shared by Armenia’s Minister of Environment Hambardzum Matevosyan in a Facebook post.
He described the visit as rich in bilateral meetings and meaningful discussions. During high-level events, Armenia presented the agenda for the 17th Conference of the Parties (COP17) to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity, which will be hosted in Yerevan in 2026, along with its national climate vision and initiatives.
According to Matevosyan, the agreements signed during COP30 will unlock new opportunities for international collaboration in environmental and biodiversity protection.
The UN COP17 Biodiversity Summit is scheduled to be held in Yerevan in October 2026.
