Citizen of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Ashot Danielian is the sambo champion of Europe. Representatives of 18 countries participated in the tournament taking place in Turin (Italy). As “De-facto” news agency reports, he beat the Russian representative with confidence in the final and won the title. Ashot Danielian has already had a number of titles- he is the sambo fourfold champion in Armenia, the European championship bronze medal winner and the 2001 world youth championship silver medal winner.
