Estonia to open embassy in Armenia in 2026

Estonia will open an embassy in Armenia in 2026, according to Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna during a phone conversation with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.

Mirzoyan welcomed Estonia’s important decision, emphasizing that it reflects the strong partnership between the two countries and mutual interest in deepening ties, according to Armenia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The ministers discussed bilateral relations and concrete initiatives under the Armenia–EU agenda. They exchanged views on upcoming actions and cooperation on various fronts, including combating hybrid threats.

In the context of regional developments, they also addressed the opportunities presented by the implementation of the “Crossroads of Peace” infrastructure initiative.
