USING OF MOBILE PHONES WHEN DRIVING TO BE PROHIBITED

The Armenian government has approved the amendments to the Highway Code introduced by the ministry of internal affairs. According to the decision passed, from June 5 the restrictions for the using of mobile phones when driving will be imposed. Speaking on the mobile phone will be allowed only if it is attached in the passenger compartment and does not draws driver’s attention away. Top speed restrictions are also imposed. It will be allowed to drive the car at speed of 20 km/h in the courtyards. The order for the appealing of the policeman’s decision on fines because of the traffic code violation is clearly stipulated in the new regulations as well.
