It is necessary to take into consideration the reality while settling the Karabakh issue, stated the chairman of the Federation Council of the Russian Federal Assembly Sergey Mironov at the press conference yesterday. “Armenia and Azerbaijan, whether we wish it or not, live under conditions of reality. And, naturally, when sitting at the negotiation table, it has to be proceeded from it”, noted the head of the Upper Chamber of the Russian parliament. According to Mironov, Moscow accepts any solution accepted by the parties to the conflict. The MPA secretariat is engaged in the developing of events that will let activate the MPA participation in the settlement of Caucasian region issues, the Federation Council speaker stated speaking about the CIS intergovernmental Assembly’s role in the settlement of the regional issues. At the same time Mironov reminded the CIS Intergovernmental Assembly, in its time, contributed to the establishment of armistice in the area of the Karabakh conflict a lot.
