Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanian called the meeting of the heads of the foreign departments of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Turkey held in Reykjavik very useful and stated that such meetings will be continued. In the interview to the “Arminfo” agency correspondent he said he was “cautiously optimistic” towards the coming processes of solving regional problems and noted that progress had been made in the question. “But it is a very complex process and it is hard to speak about the time limits of attaining any results yet,” – Oskanian stressed. Commenting on the statement of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Vilayat Guliyev that the question of the Armenian-Turkish cooperation had not been discussed at the meeting in Reykjavik, Vardan Oskanian noted that the questions of possible cooperation between Armenia and Turkey were discussed in the course of the bilateral meeting with his Turkish colleague Ismail Cem. Meanwhile, in his words, in the course of the trilateral meeting of the heads of Armenian, Azeri and Turkish foreign departments, the discussed matters mainly included regional problems and the ways of settling the Karabakh conflict within their framework.
