ARMENIA AND BRAZIL SIGNED THREE INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENTS

The heads of Armenia and Brazil signed three intergovernmental agreements, two of which are within the framework of diplomatic cooperation and one is regarding the sphere of cultural relation development. This was reported by «Arminfo» agency with reference to the Armenian Public Television. In the course of the meeting with business circles of Brazil, President Robert Kocharian expressed hope for activation of bilateral relations and show of the interest in the Armenian business. «Taking into consideration the course of the economic reforms as well as the political stability in the republic we can be sure that Armenia will become the most organized country of the region», Robert Kocharian stated. The President met with the heads of the two Houses of the Brazilian parliament, who, in their turn, expressed readiness for the transfer of the cooperation between the two states into economic sphere. In this respect, the importance of the opening of Armenian permanent diplomatic representative office in Brazil was noted. Toward this, the Brazilian government has already appointed the necessary territory. Today, on the visit’s last day, Armenian President will visit Federation of manufacturers of Sao Paulo, where a business forum will be organized.
