ARMENIAN BECAME FRENCH GOVERNMENT MEMBER

Patrick Devechian became member of the French government. He will head the Ministry of social liberties in the Pierre Raffarin cabinet formed last evening. Devechian was member of the Senate. He is an active figure of Golist party headed by President Jacques Chirac. The Turkish mass media has already expressed disturbance about inclusion of an Armenian in the French government. The cabinet of Jean Pierre Raffarin consists of 15 Ministers. They are all members of Golist party and persons close to President Chirac. The main task of the cabinet is preparation to participating in the coming parliamentary elections.
