ARMENIA MARKING 87-TH ANNIVERSARY OF ARMENIAN GENOCIDE IN OTTOMAN TURKEY IN 1915

Today Armenia marks the 87-th anniversary of the Armenian genocide in Ottoman Turkey in 1915. As always on this day an endless stream of people moves towards the Eternal fire in Tsitsernakaberd memorial complex in commemoration of 1.5 million victims of the genocide. As reported by “Arminfo” agency, Armenian President Robert Kocharian, Parliament Speaker Armen Khachatrian, Prime Minister Andranik Margarian, Parliament deputies and members of the Armenian government laid flowers to the Eternal fire, too. A Divine Liturgy was offered in Holy Echmiadzin cathedral in commemoration of the victims of the monstrous crime committed by the Young Turks in 1915.
