Fifth Pan-Armenian Games , held from 9 to 16 August, 2009 in football and basketball, finished in Armenia.
The team of Tehran won the title of winner in the football tournament, winning Yerevan team with a minimum score 1:0. Beirut Armenians became bronze prize winners, who defeated the team from Buenos Aires.
The Sochi Armenians won in the basketball tournament for men, who defeated their compatriots from Los Angeles with the score 72:68.
In the fight for the 3 rd place the Tehran team easily defeated Yerevan. The match ended with the score 69:67.
