Vladimir Margaryan held convincing victory over Azeri boxer

In the European Youth Championship taking place in Szcecin, Poland, Armenian boxer Vladmir Margaryan (w/c 64 kg.) beat Tamerlan Abdullaev 8:1. Convincing victory over Azeri boxer qualifies Margaryan for quarter final where he is expected to compete against Arayik Marutyan, an Armenian boxer representing Germany.

During the first round, Margaryan beat French boxer David Papo 5:1.

Another Armenian boxer qualifying for quarter final is Karen Ayvazyan (w/c 51 kg.) who will compete against Igor Osipov (Moldova) after recent victory over Italian boxer Alexandro Kubetta (4:1).

Thus, two of eight Armenian boxers quit tournament from first rounds. On the first day, Alexander Shakhyan (w/c 54 kg.) quit competitions, defeated by Azeri Elvin Isaev in the first single combat.

Hovhannes Ohanyan (+91кг), Azat Davtyan (91 kg.) and Harutyun Abrahamyan (69 kg.) have not yet competed in single combat.
